OpenID Foundation, Open Banking IE  and the Open Identity Exchange share the goal of developing a robust set of security standards, self certification and trust frameworks for the safe provisioning of financial APIs that offer the highest level of protection for all stakeholders, in particular citizens, customers and end users.

The development of the FAPI Standards as removing obstacles to innovation and encouraging new approaches. Robust digital identity standards might be considered a priority area for the public and private sector need to work on. It is an important development in global interoperability via application program interfaces (APIs), with bespoke governmental trust framework rules and guidance. This can help guide the development of FinTech and RegTech for the public and private sectors in relation to AML/CFT
